I was thinking about the party tonight and how to follow up on the invite page. If I could post up flyers all over the city in a repetative fashion, I would do something like this and like this.

i’m rolling, i’m rolling, i’m rolling, i’m rolling, uhhh (repeat)
This evening, I took the Metra out to the North Shore for dinner with the fam. Mom had prepped all of the ingredients for sushi rolls…and we introduced the “Highland Park Roll” (shrimp, japanese cucumber, carrot, scallion, avacado, ginger) at dinner. We used the rolling mats that came with a Sushi kit I gave the parentals for Christmas. Sushi…is not hard to make but there is definitely skill into making it look good. As long as you’ve got good sticky sushi rice and the nori (seaweed) sheets, you’re golden.
For reference, I’ve included these helpful videos from the mysterious Master Sushi Chef, He-Day:

He-Day is not afraid of The California Roll!
He-Day will enforce Proper Sushi Etiquette!
He-Day conquers Different Types of Sushi!
He-Day and The Rainbow Roll showdown!
He-Day shows no mercy to the Sticky Rice!
It’s a warmer, gentle-er…more compassionate cold…
It finally warms up a bit and we get some snow. That sounds weird.
W’s got his big SOTU speech lined up tonight…wonder what’s on the menu to feed to the masses? My guess is he’s going to talk about some ideas and plans for the economy that we heard 20 years ago; he’ll tell us that the nation needs to “come together”; and some fuzzy intelligence on why we need to take out Iraq.
I am optimistic about the “coming together” part, because there’s nothing like a big science project to get the ol’ wheels of democracy and capitalism turning.
As for Iraq, I believe they have had it coming regardless of what the UN people would find. And that’s a terrible thing for a lot of people but at this point I just hope it’s quick and not too painful for either side. I wonder if Saddam Hussein will end up pulling what I like to call the “oldest dictator cliche` in the book” and commit suicide just as they move in to capture him?

Ok I’m a potential Mac Specialist.
Just got off with the phone from Kim at Apple. She asked me if I was looking for fulltime or parttime - I told her it would be possible for me to pull fulltime in the summer, but if school is going on I would have to work around that schedule. Kim said the Mac Genius position is full time and requires some “certifications” from Apple, so that wouldn’t be possible with my schedule. She did say that I would be better suited for a “Mac Specialist” which is their hodgepodge retail position. She said they are looking for people just like me; college student, Apple advocate, etc. so she’s excited that I’m in her Michigan Ave. file. She told me that they’re hiring all of the fulltime positions right now and they’ll pick up on the parttime positions in March - when we’re supposed to talk next. She did say they’re looking to have all of the employees rounded up by April which definitely makes the rumor that the store is opening in May more convincing…
So I think the call went well and it sounds like I’ve got a good shot and landing this gig…don’t know anything about discounts…yet!
