Had an amazing evening with Dev at the Sting concert in Grant Park. As to avoid the corporate stinch, crowds and lack of places to lay down and watch the *shooting stars*, we camped out just in front of the Buckingham Fountain - which I had never really seen before tonight. It’s quite impressive, especially when they light it up at night (tonight it was lit up in Cubs blue).
The show was great…Keb Mo’ (great) and Johnny Lang (decent) played opening sets. Gary Sinese came out to Emcee for Sting. As far back as we were, it sounded perfect and we could still see the jumbotrons. Sting played a great set…typically I would have the setlist down cold, but this is probably 90% accurate…

One exception to a great show and perfect evening…Sting starts playing Englishman In New York, my favorite non-Police song…and then after the first chorus stops the song and says, “Wait a minute…what fucking city are we in?” Then they just go into a really not-so-great Roxanne…
Oh and the other exception…
I was just listening to Sting - Englishman In New York
