Interpol @ Aragon Ballroom

Damn this was a great show. Devin and I had been looking forward to this one since we got hooked on both of their albums. When they first announced this tour leg, no Chicago dates were announced. Then out of the blue, they booked a night at the Aragon and I was all over it.

This is one of the rare exceptions I make for a band that doesn’t have a huge stage presence - still great to watch and some of the tightest rockers I’ve ever heard live. The band also employed some very unusual lighting equipment - instead of illuminating them, it lights up the whole stage - to the point of blinding on some occasions. All in all, a great performance.

The setlist went something like this:

Next Exit
Slow Hands
Narc
A Time To Be So Small
Stella Was A Diver And She Was Always Down
Public Pervert
Not Even Jail
Hands Away
Evil
NYC
Take You On A Cruise
PDA

The Specialist
Obstacle 1
Roland

I was just listening to Interpol - NYC
