I’m Not Surprised

I’ve been saying that 20th Century Fox/Marvel are churning out their comic book adaptations a tad bit too quickly to keep up the quality control. Word on the street is X-Men 3 is looking less than stellar as well.
Bring on the Warner/DC films - LEARN from their mistakes! And I just might go see Batman for a second time…

Watching Live 8 Was Cool, But…
Watching Deep Impact is even cooler. I am a geek.
I’ve actually watched several cool and/or interesting things this weekend:
- War of the Worlds (some good ‘Berg popcorn, but the original film left more of an impression)
- Cubs vs. Nationals at Wrigley (perfect weather)
- Devin meeting John Patterson after the game.
- Reaching new lows in cinematic experiences with Anacondas: Search For The Blood Orchid
- Live 8 rebroadcasts with Pink Floyd, The Who and Coldplay with Richard Ashcroft
- Pictures from my parents’ recent trips to Germany and Michigan
- Chicago fireworks from our neighborhood beach
- George A. Romero’s Land of The Dead
10 more minutes to go before our hunk of copper tech hits a big-A comet.
