The touch-sensitive instrument Björk has in her performance set is very, very cool. Note that the inventors suggest that no instructions or training is necessary. I want one.

The White Attic

The re-colored + re-invented website has made it out of my studio just in time for their fall 2007 furniture collection. If you’re in Andersonville (Chicago), go check them out.

A Pair of Patrick Daughters Directed Music Videos

Who doesn’t love continuous tracking shots?

No I in Threesome by Interpol. Look for the tricky camera pan-into-the-mirror-effect, made famous by Robert Zemeckis and Don Burgess in Contact.

1 2 3 4 by Feist. I know it seems wrong to watch this on anything but an iPod nano but work with it. Brilliant song, fantastic music video.

Tease Me, Trent Reznor

Nine Inch Nails just wrapped the Year Zero tour in Hawaii last week. I could say I am disappointed that I didn’t catch one of the shows on the tour - Year Zero is one of my favorite albums this year. I could also say I am disappointed that I didn’t make it to Hawaii this year – actually, the majority of life tends to be disappointing when I compare it to time spent in Hawaii. But this picture, posted on the homepage (tour photo blog) of nin.com, is far from disappointing:

Is Trent Reznor merely a fan of my favorite television show? Or is he contributing, in some creative manner, to the production of Season Four currently underway?

Or, a cross-story between the DHARMA and Year Zero projects? The storylines and style are somewhat similar. Uncanny might be the more appropriate word.

The anticipation is already too heavy.
